Mother and her two daughters killed in regime missile attack on Eastern Ghouta

(Zaman Al Wasl)-  At least four people, including a mother and her two daughters, have been killed in a missile attack on the town of al-Nashshabiyeh in eastern rural Damascus, local activists said Friday.

Syrian regime backed by Russia's jets has stepped up its devastating aerial campaign on rebel-held areas in Eastern Ghouta suburbs near Damascus for over two months.

This week, Russia's aerial bombing on Eastern Ghouta have killed at least 80 people, according to monitoring groups. The deadly air strikes pounded towns of Douma, Kafr Batna, Irbeen, Jisrin and al-Abbadeh.

Syria's war started with a pro-democracy movement that grew into an armed uprising and has inflamed regional confrontations. About 300,000 people have died in the conflict, according to United Nations estimates.
