At least 10 people killed in Sarin gas attack on western suburbs of Damascus: activists

(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 10 people, including a child, have been killed late on Tuesday in a sarin gas attack on the besieged Moadamiyet al-Sham town west of the capital, activists said.

The town's main hospital said 10 people were killed including a 12-year-old boy due to targeting their neighborhood with two missile loaded by deadly sarin gas.

Moadamiyet al-Sham, also known as Moadamiya, has been under major attack by regime army this week after the collapse of a fragile truce with rebels  and more than two years of suffocating siege.

Local activists said regime's Sarin gas attack is a flagrant assault on civilians which defies all international conventions since the deadly 2013 chemical attacks.

The Bashar al-Assad regime was responsible for the sarin chemical attack at Eastern and Western Ghouta near Damascus, on Aug. 21, 2013, where more than 1500 people had been killed, including dozens from Moadamiya town.

More than 250,000 people have been killed since Syria’s revolution erupted in March 2011, and millions more have fled their homes.
