Damascus: Regime army prepares for massive incursion into Moadamiyet al-Sham town, locks main crossing

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime forces said to conduct a massive incursion into Moadamiyet al-Sham town west of Damascus if rebels have not given up arms and accept to move out of the town, the local negotiators team said after 4-hour meeting with regime representatives on Sunday.

The local committee which handles the talks with regime army is due to hold meeting with rebel factions on Monday to stand on a concrete decision over regime demands.

The local media center said regime forces who have locked the main crossing with the capital have threntend of an open brutal war if Free Syrian Amry fighters stay in Moadamiyet al-Sham.

Meanwhile the aerial bomb has continued on the western neighborhood of the city. activists reported death of two pepole. On Saturday, 5 people were killed in barrel bomb attacks.

Moadamiyet al-Sham, also known as Moadamiya, with about 45,000 people, has been under major attack by regime army since last week after the collapse of a fragile truce with rebels signed late 2013 and more than two years of suffocating siege.

Late on Tuesday, at least 10 people, including a 12-year-child child, have been killed in a sarin gas attack on the western neighborhoods of Moadamiya, medics said.

More than 260,000 people have been killed since Syria’s revolution erupted in March 2011, and millions more have fled their homes.
