Mazhar Jama'an, pro-Assad refugee in Germany with shameful criminal record: Zaman Al Wasl

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian activists have circulated online photos for a Palestinian refugee in Germany who once gained fame as one of the most notorious intelligence figures in Palestine branch in Damascus.

Syrian interior ministry had issued seven warrants and prison sentences for Mazhar Adnan Jama'n, 47, related to forgery, fraud, theft and falsification, according to his criminal record that obtained by Zaman al Wasl.

The Berlin-based refugee, who was born in Yarmouk refugee camp, south of Damascus, is making new milestone by his refugee journey, he claimed. But people who were tortured on his hands in intelligence security departments or who had been robbed and swindled by him can not able to accept that Jama'an will escape the accountability even in Germany, activists told Zaman al-Wasl.

Jama'an used to be dubbed as 'The God' in Palestine intelligence branch, former detainees said

Despite his shameful resume where he grew up in Yarmouk refugee camp and in the capital, Syrian regime had taken an advantage of his lows to work as an informer and interrogator, source told Zaman al-Wasl.

The leaked criminal record obtained by Zaman Al Wasl showed  his involvement in seven cases, including fraud, theft, forgery and number of prison sentences started in 1994.

On January 25, 1994 Jama'an was charged by fraud by Damascus police department over theft acts, forgery and falsification.

Another theft case field  against him in September 2004 in Damascus .

In November 2007, court charged Jama'an of  falsification and forgery.

In January 2010, Damascus suburbs' police department issued search warrant for him over roguery. In April 2010 another warrants issued for Jama'an by Damascus suburbs' police.

In January 2011.Damascus police departments issued a new arrest warrany for Jama'an.

On October 3, 2011, Jama'an was sentenced to two months over fraud and forgery charges.
