(Zaman Al Wals)- At least five regime troops killed on Tuesday by Islamic State in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor while 50 fighters of the allied NDF militia reportedly trapped in an ISIS ambush in the al-Teim oil well.
Deir Ezzor Is Being Slaughtered Silently, local monitoring group, said ISIS fighters have blown an army tunnel up in the center of Deir Ezzor late on Tuesday, leaving five troops dead.
Ahmed Ramadan, the civil group founder, said ISIS had also detonated car bomb in al-Sina'a neighborhood.
Meanwhile,about 50 militants from the National Defense Forces are being trapped near al-Teim oil well south of Deir Ezzor after an ambush set up by ISIS.
In support to trapped fighters, Russia warplanes conducted seven raids on ISIS-held areas, Ramadan said.
The Syrian Network of Human Rights recorded 145 violations to the 'cessation of hostilities' truce deal which enters its fifth day.
In northern Aleppo city, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces cut off the main road to rebel-held areas, local reporter said Wednesday.
Zaman al-Wasl reporter said the YPG-led units that formed by the U.S. last October, have captured the strategic Castillo road, a move tightens the noose on half million people and bolstering regime's plan to blocked rebels.
In its turn, SDF leadership said at least 216 Nusra Front fighters were killed in the two-week fighting in the northern countryside of Aleppo, ARA News reported.
“The recent clashes centered in the villages of Malikiya, Kashtaar and Tannab in the suburb of Azaz near the Turkish border,” SDF spokesman told ARA News.
“After expelling the al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front from these villages, our forces collected dead bodies of 216 militants and detained over 20 others,” the official said.
The SDF has also seized a large deal of ammunition and heavy weapons after taking over a weapons storage center near Azaz.
Supported by an air cover from the U.S.-led coalition, SDF regained control of large territories in northern Aleppo, including the villages of Shwargha, Maranaz, Mennagh, Kafr Nasih, Kafr Naya, and the towns of Ain Daqna, Tal Rafaat and Deir Jamal.
