(Zaman Al Wasl)- Zaman al Wasl has obtained the ISIS personal data of Abu Mustafa Ozturk, relative of Mehmet Ozturk, the suicide bomber of Istanbul's Istiklal street that left three Israelis and an Iranian dead on Saturday.
On Sunday, Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala has said the suicide bomber involved in Saturday’s blast on Istanbul’s Istiklal Street is suspected of having links with Islamic group, Anadolu news agency reported..
Addressing a press conference in Ankara Sunday, Ala said the bomber had been identified as 24-year-old Mehmet Ozturk, who was born in the southeastern Turkey’s Gaziantep province.
He also said that five people had been held so far in connection with the terror attack.
LEAKED ISIS DATA
According to about 2000 registration forms for ISIS fighters obtained by Zaman al-Wasl last December, 57 Turkish jihadists had joined the radical group between 2013 and 2014, including the relative of Istiklal's suicide bomber.
Abu Mustafa Ozturk, who was born in Gaziantep in 1979, had joined ISIS in Raqqa city due to recommendation by fellow Turkish jihadist call Abu Mohamed al-Turki.
The jihadist who cross the Islamic State's borders for the first time is ought to acknowledge the Borders Directorate everything about himself, even what he wants to be: a suicide bomber, a martyr, a fighter, or an administrative worker.
