An Iranian semi-official news agency says Tehran has summoned Qatar’s envoy over an alleged Qatari link to a sabotage and terrorism group.
The Tuesday report by Fars agency says Iran’s Foreign Ministry wished to relay a strong protest to the Arab country.
On Sunday, Iran said it had arrested 12 people who had been preparing to “inflame ethnic conflict” through sabotage and assassination. It said they were linked to an Arab country but did not elaborate according to AP.
The two countries are at odds in several regional issues, notably the Syrian conflict where Tehran keep accusing Qatar of fueling the conflict by supporting FSA. Iran considers its ultimate support to the Assad regime is legal as well as is protecting the "Resistance project". So, Iran backs the regime by revolutionary guards and his militia of Hezbollah.
At meantime, Iran has congratulated Bashar al-Assad for his alleged victory in Qusair after many weeks of fierce shelling on besieged town by regime army and Hezbollah militia.
