(Zaman Al Wasl)- Maysoon Berikdar, or “Free Wisam”, a well known Syrian woman lives in Germany, she has annoyed many of well known loyal to Syrian regime by phoning them and telling them her opinion of their immoral attitude by supporting the Syrian regime.
She is known in Berlin of her bicycle and Syrian revolution flag that cover herself with, ignoring all threat she received from regime’s “Shabiha”.
Maysoon has been threatened and sworn to by many, some threats reached to killing by many prominent figures who were victims of her phone calls, one of them was George Wassouf, the well known singer, as a reaction to the embarrassing situation he was put in during the conversation. She needed to seek protection from the German police.
"Free Wisam" started her revolutionary activities in the first weeks of the Syrian revolution, as she used to engage in conversation and row with regime's loyalist via “Potluck” social media website. many of the site's users recorded her voice and published her opinion on Addounia TV, the pro-regime Syrian channel, and the presenter Rafik Lottof considered them as a proof of the global conspiracy on the Syrian regime.
“Free Wisam” since then started an open confront with the regime’s loyalists like Talib Ibrahim and Bahjat Salman, the Syrian Ambassador to Jordan, who offer a prize of 5 million Syrian pounds for anyone can bring her dead or alive.
Wisam had paid heavy price for her position from the Syrian revolution, when she lost her brother, who was killed in September 2014, despite his overt support to the regime.
Maysoon reported that the regime’s intelligence forced her brother to repudiate her in 2011.
Maysoon was secretive about the way she managed to obtain phone numbers of celebrities and prominent figures to protect her sources.
Maysoon explained that she faces difficulties before and during the phone calls with celebrities to make sure they would not discover her identity, like what happened with George Wassouf, when his son Rabea knew her, but she managed to catch Wassouf after 4 attempts she managed to deceive them. The same with Duraid Lahham who was deceived 7 times, and Bassam Kousa who needed 5 attempts to manage to get a good phone conversation with him and she needed to used the Egyptian accent.

The Syrian regime embassy refused to renew her Syrian passport by orders from Department of Passport and Immigration in Syria, an when she called the responsible there, she was told that she ought to go to Syria to sort out her situation and then might get her new passport or not.
Maysoon confirmed that she will stay supporting the revolution because it is a principle for her and she feels that she has a message in life and she proud that she has chosen the revolution's side. She express her will to look after orphans and martyrs’ children when the revolution succeed.
