FSA fighters capture ground from ISIS-linked group west of Daraa

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Free Syrian Army fighters took ground from Islamic State-linked groups in the western countryside of Daraa on Sunday as clashes enters third week in the southern province, activists said.

FSA seized control of Masaken Jillin, former military housing, form the Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade and allied al-Muthanna Islamic Movements who still in control of Jillin town.

The moderate rebels were hit by two car bombs detonated by al-Muthanna Movement at the gates of Jillin town, No casualties were reported.

Yarmouk Martyrs brigade captured Sahm al-Golan town while its fighters still imposing siege on Hait village which in control of Fatah Army, field source said.

Yramouk Martyrs and  al-Muthanna Movement launched major attack on rebels and Nusra Front two weeks ago, seeking to extend a territory it control as concern rise of an ISIS advance in Daraa while its militants have been defeated in the Syrian desert and northeastern Syria.

Rebels, who sent reinforcement to stop Yarmouk's advance in the western countryside, have formed an operation room to coordinate their military efforts in Daraa.

Last week, rebels backed by Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham movement recaptured the towns of Mzairib and al-Sheikh Saad from Yramouk Martyrs.
