Assad regime transferred drones project to Iran: source

(Zaman Al Wasl)- A well-informed source confirmed the regime transferred the guided Syrian planes productions’ project set up from Scientific Research Center in Damascus to Iran including experts, engineers and technicians.

The source from regime military told Zaman al-Wasl, project’s transportation was done in complete confidentiality under the pretext of inconvenient conditions in Syria to develop and produce the planes. Adding, the natural and convenient place for the project is Iran. It is believed Iranian company BARS for planes production took exclusive possession of the production equipment.

The first time the regime transported such project is when the regime granted planes building factory to Iran too and transported the project equipment via al-Nairab Airport to Tehran.

Iran had previously benefited from Syrian experts in guided planes production which led Iran to take over the Syrian project in Tehran to impose hegemony first and second to tempt the regime of mutual cooperation to produce new guided planes making use of Syrian engineers experiences.

The Iranian guided air force was the first form of Iranian intervention in the Syrian affairs to support Assad regime where Iranian pilots did all reconnoitering operations using Ababeel, Muhajir, and Shahid planes.

The first Syrian guided planes were produced in Syria in mid-90s and were named Nawras. Later on, the planes were developed into Nawras2.

The planes were launched from a vehicle via a launching missile in addition to a front compressor engine and the planes fly to 160 Kilometers of distance with 129 k7h speed provided with good cameras on the front and the back and live TV broadcasting camera. The planes were tested in several projects in Syria.
