Hunger policy against detainees in Homs central prison to control disobedience

Detainees in Homs central prison appealed for help, and directed a message to the Free Syrian Army saying: “your people are dying and they are under real danger, exposed to hunger, thirst, darkness, poisonous gases and live fire”

Activist Zoabi al-Homsi told Zaman Alwasl that electricity and water have been off for 4 days, as the regime applying hunger policy to force prisoners to end their disobedience.

 “many snipers based on the prison roofs, and regime army separated the old and new parts of the prison from each other,'' Zoabi said, the conditions of prisoners are extremely bad, as the prison’s director with his forces determine to break in prisoners’ cells at any cost, because they are sure that no one would punish them as no one cares for the Syrian prisoners.

 The activist confirmed that another prisoner called “Asa’ad Mohamed al-Jahwani” was killed on Tuesday in Homs central prison by a shot in head. 

Earlier o Monday, the opposition National Coalition accused Assad regime forces of using "excessive repression" to control a rebellion that took place inside the central prison of Homs, killing at least 27.

The Opposition Coalition on Tuesday shouldered the director of Homs central prison, General Abdou Yusuf Karam, responsibility for the killing beside everyone else who had issued orders, supervised or implemented the action.

 The statement declared that there are more than 200 thousand Syrians are detained including women, children and elderly, in difficult conditions and exposed to the worst kinds of torture."
