(Zaman Al Wasl)- Kurdish PYD militia launched a series of arrests in villages affiliated to al-Haul in eastern countryside of Hasaka province, local activists said.
The arrests came as residents of al-Haul were planning to rally after Friday prayers to demand return of displaced people who were expelled from in al-Haul and al-Khatunya towns.

Mohamed al-Khatuni, a local from al-Haul said patrols of the armed personnel of PYD raided homes of displaced in Um Hujaira village on Friday.
They arrested several people under the accusation of protesting and participating in the sit-in. Some of the detainees were Sarhan al-Zunub, Ali al-Mir’e, Fawaz Hussein al-Khalufi, Munit Khalaf al-Hasan, and Lateef Mohamed Sultan.
The PYD armed personnel arrested pharmacist Fadel al-Hussein months ago, and PYD released 3 persons it had arrested months ago; they are Mohamed Abdul Salam al-Burjas, Naser Khudayr al-Dahan, Ali Ilyas Alush, al-Khatuni added.
Sources said Kurdish Protection Units, the main force in Syria Democratic Forces (SFD) detonated and razed 40 houses in al-Saidiye village (Kashkash Jabur) under pretext Isis fighters infiltrate through these houses to SDF locations in al-Azzawi village.
Sources added, PYD personnel raided villages in al-Shadadi city surrounding; al-‘dlaa, and al-Hariri villages. They confiscated devices during the raids. PYD still bans stores and shops from opening in the city market especially internet shops. The area is under curfew from sunset until sunrise.
Clashes south and west south of al-Hasaka continues between Isis and US backed PYD-led SDF alliance which took control over al-Haul, al-Arysha, and al-Shadadi towns following clashes with Isis which started in October last years; two weeks following formation of the SDF alliance.
US special forces advisors played a key role in recapturing al-Shadadi from Isis and supporting SDF. The US is considering sending 250 additional advisors to groups fighting against Isis in Raqqa and Musul.
