(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime forces backed by allied militia launched major attack on rebel-held city of Douma, northeast of Damascus, rebel commander said Sunday.
Hamza Bairakdar, senior commander in powerful Jaish al-Islam group, said regime offensive started at the midnight to overrun the city from three axes.
Clashes are still underway, he added.
