Syrian government's data hacked by anonymous group: source

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian government's servers have been hacked on Saturday and crucial data to be revealed soon, well-informed source told Zaman al-Wasl.

The anonymous hacker group has obtained confidential and dangerous information of 10 Gb of size related to Ministry of Finance, economy and Petroleum and related to locations of the presidential palace and Baath National leadership.

The sources said, the websites underwent infiltration attacks since Saturday which led National Board for Network Protection to stop hosting services, to stop all hacked websites and stop entering data until websites are retrieved safely.

The piracy is more likely international and attempts to reveal economic and political information to embarrass regime leadership in Syria following Panama Papers.

The information transported via the government domain might be dangerous than what Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca revealed about shell companies and offshore accounts belonging to Bashar al-Assad and al-Makhlufs, Assad family from mother’s side.
