Germany: Syrian family reports their child harassment by Red Cross officer

(Zaman Al Wasl)- A Syrian refugee family reported their daughter Sarah sexual harassment by a Red Cross shelter officer in Hoxter town in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.

German media outlets said the Syrian family had taken refuge in Germany last year. Their daughter of 7 Sarah was sexually harassed by a shelter officer Mishael who works for the German Red Cross late mid-November in Hoxter.

Mishael, 33, who had cases of child molestation before was sentenced of two years of prison in district court in Paderborn after confessing his crime.
Sarah’s mother called on all refugees and Germans to report cases of child molestation now that her child suffers from trauma.

Panorama Program broadcasted by North Germany Broadcasting Station (NDR) mentioned 8 cases of sexual harassment in a refugee shelter in Hamburg.
