(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian Regime forces released the two oldest detainees Qaboon suburb north of Damascus on Saturday in prisoner exchange with local rebel group, activists said.
A local source from the neighborhood, which is under a truce with the regime, said Assad forces released detainees Ahmad al-Khatib and Thaer al-Qadi following four and a half years of detention.
The source revealed to Zaman al-Wasl that the exchange deal was between Jaish al-Fustat in participation with Faylaq al-Rahman and regime forces.
Military leader in Jaish al-Fustat, Abu Rashid said to Zaman al-Wasl that he surrendered three prisoners including a woman to Assad forces in Barzah neighborhood in exchange for the release of al-Khatib and al-Qadi.
The exchange deal of Jaish al-Fustat is the second during two weeks. The first one included exit of a woman from the neighborhood residents.
Jaish al-Fustat was formed in Eastern Ghouta near Damascus mid-March 2016 and it includes al-Nusra Front factions, Ahrar ash-Sham, and Liwaa al-Umma Brigade.
