(Zaman Al Wasl)- Nadeem Baloosh, a controversial Syrian jihadist, has been found dead in a Turkish prison, a week from his arrest near the border, Turkish newspaper said.
The Turkish media outlets said Baloosh had committed suicide as social media activists doubt the reported news.
Baloosh was arrested a week ago by the Turkish authority under charges of being a member of the Islamic State, and was moved to Hatai prison in Southern Turkey. He was Wednesday found dead in his cell as he hanged himself on a two-level bed.
The 34-year-old jihadist had been accused by activists of cooperating with regime as well in inciting sectarian strife.

Baloosh was seen as a regime-loyalist and intelligence agent worked on breaching Islamic groups and rebels to hand them to regime, then he was accused of abducting defected captain Riyadh al-Ahmed, torturing and killing him in 2013 while he was in Turkey.
Other jihadi groups praised him and described him as “Jihadi”, while some people found his opinions and analysis of the situation and a source to understand what was planned for and what conspiracies were made.
The intelligence archive owned by Zaman Al Wasl showed two arrest warrants against Nadeem Baloosh, 1982, son of Suhail and Khadija, under number 82570 and 733381 respectively.

Moreover, the archive showed arrest warrant against Nadeem’s father in 2013, and 6 arrest warrants against his three brothers over a period between 2012-2104.
