Three refugee children wounded in Lebanese Army raid on Arsal

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Lebanese Army on Thursday attacked Syrian refuggees' houses in border town of Arsal, wounding 3 children and arresting their father, source told Zaman al-Wasl.

The army raid with hand grenades and guns resulted in injuring three siblings: Mostafa Mosili, 12, and Molham, 15, and their sister, adding to destructing the entire home they live in.

The father, Mohamed Mosili, then it issue a statement claiming that he was the responsible for security matters in the area for the Islamic State. However, local residents explained that he was a refugee came from Kalamoun and works as a vegetable vendor in the town.

Mosoli’s wife declined all charges against her husband, explaining that she participates in many activities in many places like Dar al-Fatwa, Ersal Gathering and helping in “a child smile association” are evidence for her husband innocence, as a strict Islamist would not allow his wife doing all that activities.

Om Mulham mentioned that attacker were members of Hezbollah, with men speak Russian accompanying police dogs.

Syrian refugees in Lebanon exceeded 1.1 million in 2015, forming about a quarter of the country population. Almost 100 thousands live in the Eastern city of Ersal at the boarders with Syria. Lebanese army raided Ersal many time, but the most violent was in 2014 which resulted in dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries.
