(Zaman Al Wasl)- “The good humble man was martyred in our neighborhood. He took his children with him to play in heaven instead of playing here, in this dirty world,” said neighbor of martyr Ahmad Malas al-Ma’rawi who was killed in Russian air strike on al-Kallaseh neighborhood of Aleppo on Thursday.
Owner of bicycle store Ahmad was killed with his two children; Saeed, 12, and Abdul Baset,10.
Ahmad took a family photo in front of his store on Wednesday, a day before he was killed with his children, to return dead with his family to his home town in Maarat al-Numan south of Idlib, which he stayed away from for a long time.

Ahmad refused to leave Aleppo and return to Maarat al-Numan when was alive. Although al-Kalaseh neighborhood where he lives was continuously raided and destroyed by Russian and regime air raids, he kept working in his store selling and fixing bicycles.
Russian air force raided the neighborhood on Thursday and so he left following the raid in half an hour and stood with his children in front of their home near his store when Russians shelled the place again and he was killed with his children. The rescue workers came to pull the bodies and injured.
They lifted Ahmad’s body first, his relative Jawdat Malas told Zaman al-Wasl.
More than 20 civilians were killed in al-Kalaseh Massacre following several massacres in Bustan al-Qasir and al-Salheen and Tareek al-Bab last week by Russian and regime air strikes in Aleppo.
Shelling and air raids in Aleppo over the past week have killed more than 230 civilians, seven of them on Saturday, and pushed a landmark Feb. 27 ceasefire to the verge of collapse.
Once Syria's economic powerhouse, Aleppo has been ravaged by fighting since 2012 when rebels seized the city's east, confining government forces to the west.
Since the conflict in Syria erupted in 2011, more than 400,000 people have been killed and millions more been forced from their homes.
