(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 1500 displaced people from Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, and Aleppo were expelled from Sweida province over claims of being terrorists and come from areas controlled by the Islamic State.

The human rights breach was carried out by the regime security in cooperation with top clercis of Druze-sect dominated city.

“Hundreds of families, almost 1500 people run away from the armed gangs have arrived the shelter centre in Harjaleh town in the countryside of Damascus coming from Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Aleppo”, a quick brief news report appeared on a pro regime news network on Friday.

However, the real situation and truth of those who run away from “armed gangs” was revealed by different news outletets in Sweida who said the decision was taken at high level initiated by effort of “Sheikhs al-Aql”, who demanded deporting all the newcomers of displaced people who settled in Eastern of Sweida to Talae’a Al-Baath camp in Rasas town under supervision of the popular committees militias to interrogate and inspect them, then they would be transferred to the countryside of Damascus.

Another news network revealed more details about the deportation of the newly arrived displaced civilians, as it proudly mentioned that Sheikh al-Aql Yusuf Jarbooa has contacted regime’s officials in Damascus and questioned about the reality of the newcomers, and he was told that they had come from safe areas where there was no need for them to leave their places.

Therefore, the officials had incited Jarbooa to prevent the displaced people from entering Sweida and refuse sheltering them.

Ali Haidar, the Minister of National Reconciliation has his input as well, when he came to “Maqam Ayn Azzaman”, he sensed the anger in words of Sheikh al-Aql, who threatened that he would wait till the end of next week to get the matter of the displaced people sorted out, otherwise he would not be able to guarantee the reaction of the youth in Sweida who consider sheltering those displaced people as sheltering terrorism., because they had come from and passed through areas controlled by the Islamic State.

On the other hand, 18 prominent Druze figures have issued a petition and a written complaints to the Head of Sweida Province council requesting urgent and exceptional meeting to discuss 5 very important matters, and the issue of newly coming displaced people was the second in importance.

The complaints mentioned that displaced people spread in the town’s squares without any security observation while they look like “terrorists” or connected to terrorists.

A journalist from Sweida wrote his opinion about the issue of the displaced people, he explained that he met many of them which gave him the confidence to reassure people in Sweida about them because they have come to Sweida temporally, and they do not intend to settle in the city. He considered that the attitude of the community in Sweida toward them as “over-react.”

The journalist detailed that among those displaced a 90-year-old woman, and a patient with bleeding operation wound, and they cannot be a supporting community for terrorism.

In general, comments on the journalist’s opinion showed the prevailing hatred and regional intolerance compared to little proportion of rational attitudes, which were not strong enough to face the calls for deporting and evicting the displace people, and that what happened indeed.
