(Zaman Al Wasl)- A Syrian father was shocked to see news of his son’s death posted on Facebook on Wednesday and when the father asked to verify the identity of the martyr, the news came: “It’s your son! May he rest in peace.”
Someone had posted on Facebook on Wednesday news of two young men death from Adnan city in Aleppo countryside by regime forces bombings heavy artillery.
The first young man called Hussein and that’s when engineer Mustafa Hussein Zeitoun, who is from Adnan himself, asked who is Hussein? The person who posted responded: “It’s your son.” Mustafa was very shocked to receive the news of his son death via Facebook.
Ihsan Ali, a close person to Mustafa, wrote on Mustafa Facebook page: “It is a great shock to receive news of your son death on Facebook.”
Ali confirmed he experienced this himself when he received news of his brother death via Facebook before he offered condolences to Mustafa.
Hussein Zeitoun was fighting in rebel ranks and his father reported about Hussein saying,” the safest place for me is on the front lines.”
