A car bomb in the eastern Iraqi city of Baquba killed at least 12 people and wounded more than 40 on Monday near a popular restaurant close to the city center, police and hospital source said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast in the provincial capital of Diyala, a mixed Shi'ite and Sunni Muslim area bordering Iran, but Islamic State has regularly claimed bombings there in the past. (Reuters)
