Syrian Refugees: Stepmother devotes everything to care Husband's sons

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Mariam al-Mosetif, 43, a stepmother of 3 with special need, whom she treats with all love and tenderness in the Lebanese Arsal camp, as if they her own offspring.

The three of her stepsons of her husband who is16 years older than her call her “mother” because they feel her love as if she is their own mother.

The eldest stepdaughter Nawal, almost in Mariam’s age, have trouble in talking, and the second stepson, Abul-Kafi, 19, is mute, while the youngest stepson Ali, 7, has cerebral palsy and need special care.

Mariam who came from the village of Dabaa in Qusayr countryside and lives in Ersal camp as a refugee, never holds any effort or love to look after these three people with special needs.


In their poor tent that lacks to almost everything, it full of love and humanitarian feelings, especially when the who family gather around the father, Mohammed Dheib Bozan, 63, to help resting from day-long-work in building.

The family’s members never complain of their stepmother's bad treatment, they always express their gratitude toward her hard work and devotion in looking after them.

Abo Ibrahim in his talk about his new wife expresses his appreciation for her emotion and concern in his children, who always pray for God to heal them and bring them better life.

Mariam expresses her surprise for keeping thanking her for doing an effort she does not see it more than a “duty and no need for thanking” and she is happy in giving the family’s member all the care they deserve.
