Egypt threatened ore than 100
Palestinians and Syrians of extradition to Bashar al-Assad' Authorities.
Egyptian coast guards have arrested 109 Syrians and Palestinians who tried to travel illegally across
the sea to Italy, last Tuesday.
Special sources told Zaman Alwasl that Karmooz police station in
Alexandria detained all those who tried to travel illegally, including a
pregnant woman, young children and elderly, and presenting them before the
public prosecution which released them, to be seen by Egyptian National
Security, which detained them without any charges or court orders.
Wisam al-Khadra, a Palestinian from Syria, told Zaman Alwasl that
they were threatened of deportation back to Syria or Lebanon, although the
majority of them either from the opposition or wanted by security or for the
compulsory military service in Syria.
Al-Khadra complained of not finding support or who stand by them and defend their cases, therefore, they thought of hunger strike to force the world to listen to them, and ended saying: “we ran away from death in Syria and risked our lives by travelling in sea, and now we are threatened of death through deporting us back to Syria.”
