22 civilians killed in Northern Homs as regime warplanes step up aerial bombing

(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 22 civilians killed on Thursday in deadly air strikes hit rebel-held areas in the northern countryside if Homs city, local reporter said.

8 people were killed in regime's barrel bombs attack on al Aastan city, less than 24 hours since 13 family members killed in vacuum missiles fired into their underground shelter in the city. 12 more people have lost their lives in al Hola and Talf towns.

Activists said regime warplanes had carried out more than 25 air strikes on Thursday on northern Homs, 8 of it hit al-Rastan.

The northern countryside of Homs have been endured to severe siege and heavy bombardment despite the 'Cessation of Hostilities' ceasefire deal.

Bashar al-Assad's regime has been revived since Spetember 30 when Russia started its offensive in Syria, taking the lead in the war on Syrians.

Assad hoped the pressing attacks could recapture the northern district of Homs to extend territory that links his hometown Latakia with Hama and Homs.
