Latakia buries bodies of NDF, relatives angry accuse regime of disregard

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Funerals in Latakia for 13 members of the National Defense Forces (NDF) were were killed by hitting their vehicle with a Taw rocket launched by the rebels in the village of al-Hadada.

Mohammed al-Sahili, correspondent of Latakia Media Network reported that heavy attendance of regime media and from Lebanon, Iraq, Iran was unusually noticed, he expected that the regime wanted to encourage its loyalist to join its forces and army.
The regime forces had last week launched a campaign to arrest all youth age between 18 and 35 years to recruit them in the army by force.

Bodies of the NDF’s members were transferred from the Military Hospital of Zahi Azraq in latakia to their home villages, in presence of highly-ranked security and army officers, and crowd of parents and civilians.

Al-Sahili confirmed that the funeral did not pass without troubles, as relatives for one killed member from the village of al-Basa had sworn to the Syrian Army and it leaders and accused it of neglecting their sons and not taking enough procedures to protect them, which results in killing many of them.

The correspondent mentioned that the military police have forced the relatives inside a closed van with the body and took them to the their village.

Social media were busy today in showing sarcasm and disgrace to the aim of the funerals especially by the loyalist, as they considered them nothing more than an attempt by the regime to blind them from the reality of using their sons in dangerous battles without protection.

Activists anticipated that dozens of members of regime’s forces and NDF were killed last week in the battle in the coast as the regime is trying to control areas of Jabal al-Turkman and Jabal al-Akrad
