9 YPG militants killed in two blasts northeast Syria

(Zaman al-Wasl)- 9 Peoples’ Protection Units (YPG) were killed and dozens injured on Saturday by two car bombs targeting their strongholds in al-Aaliye south of Raas al-Ayn city while dozens were killed and injured in an attack by unknown persons on Sutoro Militia strongholds in the center of Qamishli.

An eyewitness told Zaman al-Wasl the car bombs killed 9 Arab fighters in Kurdish Asayish militia and dozens injured. He clarified 5 were identified to be from al-Ahraas, Laylan, al-Ghara villages whereas 4 are still unidentified in al-Aaliye.

Kurdish Asayish militia said in a statement that two trucks of Enter type exploded near their center in al-Aaliye south of Raas al-Ayn in countryside of Hasaka province killing 5 Asayish fighters.

In a related context, armed persons attacked a stronghold of Sutoro militia, the protection office, subordinate to regime forces in al-Wusta neighborhood, mostly Syriac populated, in Qamishli city which killed 3 at least and injured more than 10, according to activist Mahmoud al-Ahmad.

Al-Ahmad told Zaman al-Wasl the armed persons were riding on motorcycles when they threw a hand bomb near Domino and Miami restaurant in the neighborhood. they were shot on, but there are no accurate information of the accident.

Kurdish activist Mohamed Usu confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl clashes erupted between Sutoro and Islamic State suicide bombers who infiltrated into the neighborhood in the center of Qamishli.

Usu who works with Haska slaughtered Silently indicated the clashes caused fire in Domino restaurant in the neighborhood.

Isis News Agency Amaaq said a group of suicide bombers attacked YPG militia and Sutoro in al-Wusta neighborhood in the center of Qamishli without further details.
Shabab Suriya al-Um group which Sutoro belong to said 3 suicide bombers attacked Sutoro and one exploded himself which led to killing and injuring dozens in addition to eruption of fire and material damages.

Regime, YPG and Islamic State control Hasaka province. YPG controls the biggest area while regime controls security points and military divisions in the surrounding of Hasaka and Qamishli cities. On the other hand, Isis controls Markada town in the farthest south of the province.
