(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime forces backed by Russian fighter jets have been pounding the northern countryside of Homs province for a week amid deteriorating life conditions in the last rebel strongholds in once-dubbed revolution capital.
Zaman al-Wasl correspondent in Homs said al-Holal, Aqrab, and Talaf villages in Hama southern countryside were exposed to more than 100 air raids on Saturday and Sunday by vacuum missiles and explosive barrels killing and injuring 40 civilians half of them are women and children.
He added that a family of 9 members from Aal al-Omar were injured and killed by a barrel bpmb attack hit their house on Saturday. Media activist Jalal Suleyman al-Jazeera correspondent in Homs countryside was also injured by regime air strikes on Taldo on Sunday.
Zaman al-Wasl correspondent in Homs reported about civilians in al-Hola saying all recent regime air strikes targeted residential areas specially in the center of the city.
On the other side, Media Activist Yaroub Abu al-Izz reported to Zaman al-Wasl that Russian air strikes targeted civilians in northern Homs country side at night adding that his city al-Rastan was exposed on Saturday midnight to four missiles as well as areas of al-Zafraneh al-Saan al-Aswad and al-Qantra killing one and injuring 15 including women and children.
In a related context, High Sharia Court in Homs released a statement demanding from all rebel factions in northern countryside closing off Homs biggest road turn near rebels-controlled al-Daar al-Kabira town again.
The statement confirmed the reason of closing the road is related to regime being uncommitted to fully open a cross point without conditions for the northern countryside of Tayr Muaala village.
It should be mentioned that Homs biggest road turn is an international transport complex connecting the north, south and west of Syria has been stopped since four years from Misyaf road turn until Homs-Hama-Aleppo international road due to rebels control of a several nearby villages.
