Syrian Democratic Turkmen Movement expressed its reservation about the agreement signed between the Syrian Coalition and the Kurdish National Council as well as its rejection to threatening the sovereignty of the Syrian people and land.
In a statement, the movement said: “We call upon all honest people to reject any agreement that would threaten the sovereignty of the Syrian people and land. We consider the latest agreement between the Kurdish Council and the Syrian Coalition illegal and lacking legal value.”
The movement requested the Coalition to “work out an agreement that ensures the rights of all components of the Syrian society are preserved.” The movement appealed to the Coalition which agreed due to “all kinds of pressure” to “back down on its decision and consider it null and void.”
The movement said in its statement: “The great Syrian people who revolted against tyrants of Damascus are able to expose and thwart all conspiracies against our beloved country. Our people did not revolt so that Syria will be divided. They revolted against the regime to achieve democracy; to reach a Syria that is democratic, pluralistic, and guarantees the rights of all Syrian society components.”
