At least 23 civilians killed in Russian air strikes on Idlib city: activists

(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 23 civilians have been killed late on Monday in devastating air strikes hit northern Idlib city, local activists said.

Death toll is expected to rise as more bodies still under rubble.

Russia's warplanes have carried out 17 air strikes on the city's main hospitals, the industrial district and al-Qusour and al-Thawra neighborhoods, according to activists.

Early Monday, two suicide bombers detonated their explosives-laden belts inside a Free Syrian Army bastion in Bennish, key town in Idlib province, killing 6 rebel fighters, local source told Zaman al-Wasl Monday.

The suicide bombers infiltrated into al-Farouk Battalions headquarters in Bennish, and detonated themselves up, the source said.

So far, No rebel groups or ISIS have claimed the responsibility for the attack
