Aleppo: 4 people killed in regime air strikes on Castillo road

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime forces backed by Russian jets have intensified aerial and ground bombing on the strategic Castillo road, main route to rebel-held Aleppo city, killing 4 people, medics said Tuesday.

Medical source told Zaman al-Wasl that 4 civilians had been killed and 10 more had been wounded in the air strikes hit al-Shaqif brigade.

Regime warplanes have also carried out 20 air strikes the towns and villages surrounding Castillo road.

Bashar al-Assad forces seek a complete blockaded for rebel areas where about 400,000 people live in harsh living condition.

In next-door Idlib city, the death toll of deadly Russian air strikes rose to 50 people, including 7 children, amid Russian denial for carrying out raids on the northern city overnight and targeting two hospitals, medics said.

The first death toll was 23 civilians when Russia Russia's warplanes carried out 17 air strikes on National Hospital, Avicenna hospital, the industrial district and al-Qusour and al-Thawra neighborhoods, according to activists.

Moscow-run Interfax said the Russian fighter jets had not conducted air strikes on Idlib on Monday that also left 200 people wounded.

Meanwhile, about 10,000 people have fled the city heading the borer towns with Turkey amid fears of new air strikes, activists said.

Syria's devastating war has killed more than 285,000 people, activists said in a new toll for the five-year conflict.
