At least 30 people killed in air strikes on Aleppo: activists

(Zaman al-Wasl)- At least 30 civilians have been killed in regime air strikes on rebel-held neighborhoods of Aleppo city, Local Coordination Committees said Sunday.

The Syrian regime launched nearly 10 raids on al-Qatirji neighborhood killing 20 and other seven in Karam al-Jabal neighborhood and three in Meyasar and two in Baydeen neighborhoods, activists said.

The bombing on rebel-held areas has killed more than 100 people since Thursday, monitoring groups said.

Two people were killed on Sunday in al-Haydarya neighborhood in Aleppo by regime missiles and Civil Defense teams rescued three children from the rubble.

In Aleppo countryside, the Syrian warplanes targeted Daret Izza, Kafar Naha, Kafar Dael, Ourum al-Kubra in the western countryside and towns of Harytan, Adnan, Kafar Hamra, Hayan, Maaret al-Arteeq, al-Malah, Qabir al-Ingleezi in northern countryside.

Early Sunday, at least 13 regime soldiers killed and 45 more wounded when Islamist rebels hit the Artillery School near Aleppo city, rebel commander said.

Abu Adham Karnaz, senior commander in the Conquest Army, or  Jaish al-Fateh, said the last battle in the southern countryside on Friday resulted in liberation of Merata town, fuel warehouses, and Humayra village. The battles resulted in killing more than 60 regime fighters and pro-regime militants.

In a related context, 2 were killed in Haydarya in Aleppo by warplanes bombings and Civil Defense teams pulled 3 children under the rubble and rescued them.

In western Aleppo countryside, huge explosion sounds were heard on Tirmaneen-Dar Izza road. The reason is a ballistic missile targeted an area of many fuel-transporting vehicles, activists said.
