(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Syrian network of Human Rights has documented that the Syrian regime had killed 19773 children since march 2011, 297 of them were killed by sniping, and 159 under torture, while 10891 were detained, 2716 of them are still in detention.
The network provided a report, which Zaman Al Wasl was informed with, reported that the regime forces have killed fathers of almost 37 thousand children, and mothers of 6 thousand children.
The report titled: “ Syria’s children, Angels of broken wing” documented that about 4083 teaching facilities were destroyed, depriving more than 2 million children inside Syria of teaching. moreover, the regime had recruited children in many direct and indirect fighting and battles.
The report mentioned that the Islamic State had committed war crimes by indiscriminate shelling and killing, torture, sexual violence and mandatory recruiting and turning schools into military bases.
Children who were killed by the Islamic State reached to 351 according to the report, while the detainees are more than 217. Nusra front killed 49 children and detained 22 children.
Moreover, the report mentioned that armed opposition formation killed 729 children and detained 84 children and used children for some military activities.
The report presented violations f the Self Administration in areas under their control like killing and mandatory recruiting, as 62 children were killed.
The US-led alliance had killed 112 children since the beginning of its attacks September 23, 2014, while Russian forces killed 479 children since September 30, 2015, according to the report.
The report had highlighted the matter of depriving of Nationality for those who were born in refugee camps, as figures of the Syrian Network of Human Rights showed that more than 148 thousand children were born in refugee camps and were not given official documents.
The report demanded the international community to be responsible and take a step to end the conflict in Syria and allow aid and support to reach to besieged children , besides forcing the regime to lift the siege and to provide help to surrounding countries of Syria to raise the level of teaching and health care.
The report stressed the need for providing stable and safe environment for children by the United Nations Higher Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and intensify effort to help children in integration in new communities and enhance teaching and health care.
