Syria was there in many artistic works have
been presented in "Biennale” festival taking place in Istanbul in Turkey.
The Turkish artist "Antonio Kosantino”
participated in two pictures, one of them was a scene from Banias, the Syrian
costal city, while the other piece of art consisted of number of road ads road
caught the artist eye during his travelling between Damascus, Aleppo and Idlib.
In an exclusive interview with Zaman Alwasl,
Kosantino said: “in 2010 I travelled on my bicycle for two months in Damascus,
Aleppo, and Banias for two months, those cities captivated me so I took
thousands of pictures of them, and I transformed some of them into paintings.
Kosantino summarized life in Aleppo in a
drawing where the slogans of the Baath Party victories and a picture of Hafez
al-Assad. He commented saying that picture could be seen anywhere in Syria.
The artist expressed his sorrow for what has
been happening in Syria and said: “I cannot believe that Syria has been
destroyed, I feel sad to see people who I loved suffering because of war.”
Another artist, Juan Delgadom, a Spanish
director and a cameraman has never visited Syria, but he planned to live in
Damascus but he could not because the Syrian revolution break . He is fond of
Damascus, and he describes it as a legendary, He donated the profit of his film
that is displayed these days during " Biennale” festival to Syrians in
al-Ghouta.
He said: “I cannot imagine the size of the
current humanitarian disaster in Syria, the international community stands helpless
instead of helping children as everyone should try to ease pain Syrian children
are under”
