(Zaman Al Wasl)- Prominent Syrian journalist Khaled al-Issa died of wounds sustained last week in an IED attack targeted him with fellow journalist Hadi al-Abdallah, in rebel-held Aleppo, activists said Friday.
The 24-year-old cameraman passed away in a Turkish hospital in the border city of Antakya Fridays midnight.
Al-Issa had obtained a medical visa to Germany after massive pressure by activists and human rights advocates. His trip was planned on Saturday, medics said.
Activists blamed the Syrian regime for Al-Issa's assassination who was on the blacklist and wanted for the Air Force intelligence since 2014, according to the leaked archive.
