Latakia: Rebels take ground from regime in Jabal al-Akrad

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Hours passed of Yarmouk battle in the countryside of Latakia revealing that rebels have controlled many sites in Jabal al-Akrad and Jabal al-Turkmen added to killing dozens of members of regime’s forces.

The opposition’s armed formations have Monday’s afternoon launched “Yarmouk battle” as support to Aleppo, Darya, and Qoriya, aiming to regain control on big number of villages fell in the hands of the regime in the beginning of the year.

Majd al-naji, correspondent of Latakia Media Network confirmed that rebels have succeeded in controlling Abo Ali Hill and many sites in al-Baida village in Jabal al-Turkmen, besides liberating the villages of Mazighli, Hakoora, hamrat Nahshaba, and Rashi hill in Jabal al-Akrad.

A source of the First Coastal Troupe confirmed killing more than 30 members of the regime’s forces, mentioning that most members on barriers were attacked and killed.

The source who talked on condition of anonymity mentioned that Yarmouk battle has big goals, which are being achieved as planned. The source confirmed that no geographic point is determined to stop the battle at, confirming that it would continue as long as it is going as planned.

The source confirmed that rebels have high and strong morals and they bomb new sites as preparation to attack them to liberate them.

Last week, rebels in the countryside of Latakia attacked regime’s forces and regained few sites of Jabal al-Turkmen, however the Yarmouk battle started today is far stronger and wider where most the armed formations have participated.

This Monday morning rebels of First Coastal troupe have hit a troop carrier with a Tow missile followed by hitting another vehicle with Fagot missile, resulted in killing dozens of regime’s forces.

Shelling and bombing by Syrian regime forces supported by Russian warplane’s raids have not stopped the whole day Monday and coincided with hitting the troop carriers and launching of Yarmouk battle.
