At least 25 people killed in regime air strikes on Aleppo city: medics

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime killed 25 civilians on Friday in air strikes rocked local marketplace in northern Aleppo city, medics told Zaman al-Wasl.

The deadly strikes targeted Tariq al-Bab neighborhood two hours before Iftar time, leaving dozens killed an wounded.

Death toll is expected to rise, medics added.

Early Friday, at least 32 regime troops were killed in clashes with rebels in al-Khalediya neighborhood, local monitoring group said.

Rebels who thwarted regime attack on the neighborhood have inflicted huge losses in regime ranks, killing and wounding dozens, according to Aleppo Media Center.

 In Aleppo countryside, al-Qaeda's Syria branch the Nusra Front and other Islamist rebels have launched heavy attacks against regime forces and their allies, including Iranian troops and Lebanese Shi'ite Hezbollah fighters.

Regime forces, in return, have carried out more than 40 raids on Hraitan town, dropping at least 30 barrel bomb attacks.
