(Zaman al-Wasl)- Local sources said a Lebanese military checkpoint had arrested the Syrian journalist and activist Anas Idrees known on social media as Ahamd al-Qusaiyr.
The sources said Ahmad has a valid legal status. Al-Qusaiyr is the spokesman of the General Association of the Syrian Revolution. He was arrested by the Lebanese authorities in 2014 on charges of belonging to ISIS. He was released less than two weeks with help of Lebanese Muslim Association.
Al-Qusaiyr had a big role in the negotiations delegate in the events in the city of Irsal in Lebanon.
Ahmad al-Qusaiyr is a Syrian journalist from al-Qusayir city in Homs. He was born in 1979 and started his work in journalism with the outbreak of the Syrian revolution.
He moved in different places during his coverage. He covered the battles in al-Qusayir, Homs, al-Nabek in Qalamoon as well as battles in Yabroud, Dair Atiye, al-Sahel, Rankous, Rankous Plain, Qara and Rima.
After he fled to Lebanon, he covered events in Irsal for many international agencies. He worked as a cooperator with al-Jazeera News Channel in covering tours in refugee camps in Lebanon. He has many publications of articles and reports in e-journalism. He has a post-graduate degree in communication protocols from USMART International.
