(Eqtsad)- Bashar al-Assad regime thugs backed by his family are exploiting Aleppo tradesmen through fake companies of “guarding the goods”.
The companies claim to secure the trucks coming to Aleppo from Damascus and Latakia provinces for a fee of 200,000 SP per truck. The organizers of these fake companies rob the rucks if the trucks are carrying goods of high value.
An activist from Aleppo spoke on condition of anonymity saying the companies are organized by Syrian regime thugs and backed directly from Assad family.
They are exclusively from the Alwaite sect. They claim to protect the trucks transporting goods and they often steal the goods without any right for the tradesman to complain. The companies do not guarantee the goods arrival to the city.
The activist indicated the companies were activated after regime thugs stopped the trucks road near Salmiye and burgled the drivers. It was shown later the ones who burgled the trucks are the same who organized the fake companies to exploit the tradesmen in the city.
The burglary and fake companies’ fee have affected the goods’ prices with an increase of 20% on items prices. For instance, a kilo of tomatoes’ price increased to 30 SP and so forth the rest of goods, he added.
As it seems, the government authorities are incapable of suppressing the regime thugs burgling the private property of Aleppians and their trade.
An advocate source pointed out that the concerned authorities did not record any exploitation incident by the thugs since the security apparatus closes all doors in the face of complaints of traders. Often, they answer the complainers by “Bashar himself does not have authority over these thugs and you want us to track them down.”
