18 people killed in Dumeir and Douma in ISIS, regime attacks

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Al least 4 people killed early Sunday in mortar rounds fired by regime forces on the rebel-held city of Douma northeast Damascus, activists said.

In the nearby city of Dumeir, 14 people, including 3 children, were killed on Saturday in an explosive device planted by the Islamic State inside a charity kitchen supported by the powerful Islam Army.

Activists said 'ISIS sleeping cells' still exist in the strategic town and should be uprooted.

On April 20, ISIS fighters who once controlled the western neighborhoods of Dumeir, withdrawn to Syrian desert after fierce fighting with rebels and regime forces who held unspoken alliance to expel ISIS from the town.

ISIS- Jaish al-Islam fighting claimed lives of about 50 people, in the past few months.
