(Zaman Al Wasl)- A series of official documents demonstrate how the regime intelligence managed to infiltrate some of the brigades fighting against it and the areas outside of its control by planting agents in those brigades and areas to observe the moves from the inside, reveal their secrets and their plans to fight the regime for the regime to defeat these plans at the right time.
One of the confidential telegrams dated on September 25, 2012, reveals that information reached the head of the military intelligence division via an agent confirming the readiness of several brigades to launch an extensive attack against the regime locations and checkpoints in Idlib province.
The document notes the source’s confirmation that an attack will come during that week indicating some of the weapons the brigade had prepared 5 artilleries, 30 mortar launchers, etc.
In another telegram attributed to the Fall of 2012, the head of branch 290 directed a warning to branch 271 (the military intelligence branch in Idlib) of the presence of a large number of armed fighters with buses filled with weapons and rockets in the square of Taladah village (in the far north of Idlib).
Branch 271 asked Sarmada platoon to investigate the gathering and accurately locate it.
-Detailed Information-
Highly confidential documents directed from the head of branch 256 to branch 271 recounted detailed information provided by one of the agents (sources) specifying a location with around 1000 fighters confirming that it includes three apartment buildings around 2,5 kilometers north of Sarmada and 400 meters south of the duty free.
The agent also revealed the fighters formed a group led by the colonel Mohammad Jumah Bakour and with them a sheikh who issues fatwas for them.
One of the intelligence agents informed regime intelligence that fighters are divided into group which take turns going to the front in Aleppo claiming that those fighters have a long tunnel specifically for the passage of trucks and the tunnel is used as a place to hide a number of tanks that have been seized from the regime army.
A telegram, signed by the manager of the head of intelligence division office in the Fall of 2014, revealed information specifying with detail the location of the principle anti-tank weapons warehouse which were located in the kitchen and courtyard of a small traditional Arabic styled house behind al-Burj restaurant in the area of Maarat al-Nu’man in Idlib.
The description indicates the degree of accuracy concerning the information about the location of the supposed warehouse demonstrating that the source who leaked the information was well informed and probably an agent planted by the regime in one of the brigades.
The four documents are part of a larger group which Zaman al-Wasl had previously published part of, clarifying that the regime may have managed to infiltrate some brigades either through secret agents or spies or through monitoring the communication between members and recording the content.
