(Zaman Al Wasl)- Powerful Conquest Army said it has recaptured strategic Kinsabba town and nearby hilltops in the coastal province of Latakia from regime forces after a counterattack carried out overnight, according to statement posted online.
Activists said Saturday that regime forces backed by heavy aerial bombing had regained control of Kinsabba, two weeks after losing it to insurgents.
The Fatah Army or the Army of Conquest, including members of al-Qaida's branch in Syria, regained control of the town in July 1.
Regime forces first captured Kinsabba in February after it was held by rebels for weeks.
