(Zaman Al Wasl)- Clashes took place between Liwa Thuwar al-Raqqa and the Islamic State Monday morning after attacking the village of Sweidan by the Islamic State to the West of Ain Issa, in the Northern countryside of Raqqa and militias of Syrian Democratic Forces, where ISIS slaughtered 7 fighters.
A military field source reported that Liwa Thowar al-Raqqa has stopped an attack of the Islamic State at the village of Sweidan and surrounding to the West of Ain Issa town preceded with mortar shelling.
The source mentioned that Syrian Democratic Forces have slaughtered 7 members of the Islamic State in the village of Dandoshan where they arrested them after an attack of ISIS on the their sites within the administrative boarders of Raqqa, the source mentioned that ISIS’s attack against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) killing 30 members and many injuries, including 23 civilians with different injuries.
The military source explained that ISIS aims from repeated attacks is to discontinue support route to the Western side of Furat river through Tishrin dam in the Western countryside of Aleppo, but he did not mention any casualties.
The Islamic State had announced a day before that its fighters had attacked SDF’s sites and invaded villages of Birmdem, Saykoon, Korddoshan and others, leading to dozens of deaths and injuries among SDF.
In the Northern countryside of Raqqa, the Self-Administration allowed dozens of families from the Southern neighbourhoods of the town of Solook to return to their homes, while prevented other families according the Lawyer Anwar al-Khader.
The Lawyer explained to Zaman Al Wasl that people in the Eastern neighbourhood tried to return to their houses but PYD's members prevented them and shot at them to separate them.
Militants of the Democratic Union party (PYD), had June 3, 2016 dispersed a demonstration of people in the village of Solook demanded returning to their houses, while PYD accused them of being connected to ISIS an their demonstration aimed to make chaos.
Dozens of thousands of people were displaced of their houses in villages of the Northern countryside of Raqqa after invading their villages, which drew attention to PYD’s attempts of racial cleansing as the Amnesty International considered.
People’s Protection Units (YPG), the armed wing of PYD announced last June 14, that they controlled the village of Solook and surrounding after clashes with the Islamic State preceded with US-led alliance air strikes.
