(Zaman Al Wasl)- Many civilians were killed and injured Saturday in Bidama town in Jabal al-Akrad by a ballistic missile fired from Russian warship opposite of al-Mina al-Bayda in Latakia, activists said.
According to activists, the missile caused a huge explosion destroying few houses.
Reporter of Latakia Media Network Majed al-Najii said residents of Jabal al-Akrad had not heard such an explosion before which hit Bidama that strongly causing many damages.
Al-Naji said the missile caused a general state of paranoia and fear among civilians leading to many leaving the village to the camps fearing another missile.
SCD teams took bodies from under the rubble and took the injured to hospital in the nearby field hospitals.
