(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Syrian resistance announced its complete control over the Technical Air Force Collage, the last regime stronghold in the military college conglomeration in Ramouseh. The announcement comes hours after the Syrian resistance official announced it managed to end the siege of Aleppo’s eastern neighborhoods a week after the launch of Aleppo’s grand epic.
The Syrian resistance did not wait long after breaking the siege to announce its determination to launch a new stage aiming to liberate the neighborhoods of al-Hamadaniye and Saleh el-Din who are considered the most important neighborhoods in the northern capital and its most vital.
The Syrian resistance announced that each of al-Hamadaniye, Saleh el-Din, and 3000 neighborhoods are military areas as of 6:30 pm Sunday 7th August.
It appears that the Syrian resistance’s battles are not just moving according to plan but faster than the time schedule in light of the continued deterioration of the regime forces and mercenary, their flight from military locations important for fortification.
After testing its forces in bringing down the military college compound in Ramouseh, the resistance’s guns turn towards the military academy with the aim of evicting the regime from it and opening a wide door to entering the regime and its militia controlled western neighborhoods.
A dissident colonel, engineer, explained that the Syrian resistance by controlling the Technical Air Force School (the building was formerly the al-Assad Military Engineering Academy), directed a painful blow to the regime air force command.
The colonel added in an exclusive conversation with Zaman al-Wasl, “the aforementioned school, the only one in Syria, is responsible for providing the air forces with the technical personal to work on regime plans that are bombing civilians day and night.”
The colonel, known as Abu Hassan, who specializes in the maintenance of Mig fighter jet engine structures, said the academy is around 100 acres and it includes a command building, a number of builds, auditoriums, laboratories specialized for teaching and training, airplane structures specialized for training, courts and sports clubs, and it is the best in Aleppo province.
Responding Zaman al-Wasl’s question about the specializations taught in the Technical Air Force School, Abu Hassan explained that it is specialized in graduating classes of volunteer and enlisted officers, a small number of volunteer officers, and all specialties related to planes are taught such as electricity, wireless, engine structures, signaling, technical airport equipment, airplane and pilot parachutes, air armoring, electrical and air navigation equipment, observation towers).
The engineer colonel who attended the technical school said that the academy’s manager for the past ten years prior to the start of the Syrian revolution was Faiz Amrou, a Brigadier General who dissented from the regime and airplane technician. Everyone agreed on his good management skills and that it was an effective founder of the school after it moved from al-Nile street in al-Sabil neighborhood to the current building at the start of the year 2000. Abu Hassan indicated that the school was the headquarters for al-Assad Military Engineering Academy.
Around 500 students attended the technical school, and durations of attendance lasted between 9 months for volunteers and enlisted persona, and 6 months for volunteer officer students who hold university degrees.
Abu Hassan warned of the danger of the, very new, tunnel located inside the school which extends from its northern fence to the new academic building passing through al-Hamdaniye neighborhood. He added that the tunnel is specialized for cards, persons, and includes rooms and restaurants. The tunnel was prepared 15 years ago to protect teachers and officers in the event of Israeli airstrikes.
