(Eqtsad)- Apart from the battles in Aleppo, people in the city especially in the eastern side suffer of extremely difficult humanitarian situation due the 4-week blockade, added to disconnection in electricity as the main electricity generators have stopped working due to lack of diesel.
Although some generators are still working, but fear that they might stop has increased especial with limited amount of diesel their owners’ have.
The spokesman of Aleppo Local Council Bishr Hawi expected that all generator would stop working and expressed to Eqtsad his sorrow for not being able to do anything to this matter because they give the food and securing bread the priority therefore they give bakeries priority in regard to distributing fuel.

In regard to alternatives to electricity to cope with hot weather, Atqi explained that people used ice pieces, however only few workshops still can make them, but the amount is not enough and they are not affordable by most of the people.
The General Administration of services explained on its Facebook page that the electricity cut-off is due to significant damage of the electricity generator station near the project of 1070 flats in al-Hamadaniyah neighbourhood due to heavy shelling on the area after controlling it by the opposition lately and it was difficult for maintenance to reach to the area to fix the damage.
