At least 20 people, mostly children, killed in regime strikes on Aleppo

(Zaman al-Wasl)- At least 20 civilians, mostly children, have been killed in regime air strikes on Aleppo city as the bombings put Children hospital in Kafar Hamra out of service, local sources said Friday.

Zaman al-Wasl reporter in Aleppo warplanes launched several air strikes on western and northern Aleppo countryside killing and injuring many civilians pointing out one of the raids targeted vegetable market in Awayjel town west of Aleppo.

Medical source confirmed to Zaman al-Wasl the raid targeted al-Haal market on Friday killing 6 civilians and injuring many and 2 have been killed in similar raid in Dar Izza town and injured were transferred to Orm and Kafar Naha, and Qubtan al-Jabal towns targeted by cluster bombs by warplanes.

The source indicated Hayan town was targeted by vacuum missiles killing 11 civilians mostly children in Aleppo northern countryside.

In the same context, children hospital in Kafar Hamra was bombed by warplanes killing a nurse and a personnel and injured several medical staff and severe damage to the building of the hospital resulting in putting it out of service.

Regime warplanes have also hit Qadi Asker neighborhood in Aleppo city damaging buildings and injuring civilians.

It is noted the Sharia Council in Aleppo province announced suspension of Friday prayers in western Aleppo countryside due to Syrian regime and Russia targeting civilian gatherings.
