(Zaman Al Wasl)- Local Coordination Committees said on Monday the Waraqa cultural center in Bab al-Maqam neighborhood in Aleppo city has been destroyed by Syrian regime warplanes.
The committees clarified that vacuum missiles targeted the center leading to its destruction and becoming out of service.
The committees reported that director of Waraqa Mohamed Abdul Rahman confirmed the center destruction pointing out that will not stop them from continuing their work and that they will transfer whatever is left to another place.
He indicated that opening a cultural center in Aleppo city for the first time in central Aleppo was a necessity to fight ignorance and spread correct revolution thought following 5 years of the outbreak of the revolution.
Waraqa Center was founded on December 16 2015 with youth efforts. The center consists of a large library containing a seminar room and movies room used to show educational and documentary films, and the register.
