(Zaman Al Wasl) Syrian resistance factions in Qudsaya in Damascus suburb took control of the Siyast checkpoint controlled by the regime forces Tuesday following severe clashes which led to liberating the checkpoint and cutting off the main road connecting to Qudsaya’s suburb.
Field sources and activists, confirmed that members of the Syrian resistance launched a violent attack on al-Siyast checkpoint and surrounded the regime members inside it until they managed to liberate it, and a number of regime members were killed while the clashes continue in al-Khaytayin in the area.
The checkpoint liberation came after the regime forces launched an arrest campaign against civilians as well as victims falling due to regime targeting of civilian houses, highways, and resistance forces locations in a breach of the truce that was agreed to by the people of Qudsaya and al-Himet town in Damascus western countryside and the regime at the start of the year 2015.
