ISIS launches attack near Hasaka as Regime, Kurdish forces reach truce in the city

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Islamic State has Tuesday early morning attacked site of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) that led by the Democratic Union Party (PYD) southern of the town of Shadadi in the countryside of Hasaka, while a ceasefire truce was reached to in Hasaka between the Syrian regime and PYD.

Activist Ahmed al-Ali reported that Islamic State had launched a heavy attack Tuesday morning on 4:40 am from 4 sides against Syrian Democratic Forces Southern of Shadadi. the attack started with mortar shelling from the village of al-Azawi where it controlled the village and opened an access through the trench established by SDF to separate their forces from the Islamic State’s in Markada town.

The activist mentioned that the Islamic State had bombed sites of SDF in the villages of al-Fathi, Jalal and al-Faras, beside the axis of the village of Fadghami eastern of khabour leading to withdrawal of SDF from these areas.

Moreover, the Islamic State controlled villages of Anad, Allous, Satian Western of Khabour, forcing SDF to withdraw from these areas as well.

In Hasaka city, regime forces has reached a an agreement to ceasefire with militants of the Democratic union Party (PYD) after intervention by local figures and many countries for few days according to Hawar News, the close news agency to PYD.
The agency detailed the ceasefire was agreed on condition that regime would leave the city of Hasaka and Asayish, the security wing of PYD, would hold the responsibility to protect the city.

People’s Protection Units (YPG), the armed wing of PYD, which is the Syrian wing of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) have controlled the neighbourhoods of Eastern Nashwa and Ghwiran southern of Hasaka after clashed with the regime, while the National Defense Forces had withdrawn from the al-Layliya neighbourhood, therefore the regime’s forces were besieged from all sides and isolated from the troupe 123 in Jabla Kawkab in the Eastern countryside of Hasaka.

Neighbourhoods of Hasaka city had witnessed heavy clashed between the Syrian regime forces and militants of the Democratic Union party, in which both sides used heavy arms led to dozens of casualties from both sides as well as civilians included children and women, while the Syrian regime had for the first time used airstrikes to hit the Kurdish forces.
